DIVING SANUR

If you believe most of the Sanur diving operators you will hear that the diving in Sanur is well worth a day or two of your diving time.
The Sanur dive sites are just a few minutes from the shore and are home to an enormous amount of marine life. It is very common to see a large variety of nudibranchs, invertebrates and octopus. Nurse sharks and rays can also be seen at the right time.
The visibility and the Sanur dive sites can be low although if you dive at the right time then conditions can be excellent. The great thing about Sanur diving is that you can choose to just one dive that will have you back in time for breakfast. Even a three dive program can have you back in
Jeladi Willis is located in East Sanur and is a nice gentle dive site that starts around 3m and slopes of to about 20m. The current here can get strong so diving at slack tide is important. This site has visibility ranging from 5 - 15m. It is is easy to see some nice corals here that are home to many nudibranchs, stingrays, scorption fish, octopus and lots more. We also recommend this as a great place for a night dive in Sanur.
Penjor Reef - The trip to Penjor reef takes only a few minutes with our dive speed boat although you would travel much further for a reef with this quality. There is an abundance of healthy coral and marine life on this Sanur dive site. It is one of those dives sites that does not need good visibility as the amount of macro life is superb. Some divers will credit this site as being as good as some of the more famous sites in Bali.

DIVING AMED

Amed is a perfect place for those wishing to get right away from it. Amed is a very slow paced village where technology hasn\'t caught up. There are a number of dive sites in the area that offer some nice drop offs with good coral and diver fish. Most of the diving is done out of local boats, however shore diving is available from Jemeluk Bay.

Amed Walls

Amed has three walls along the most popular stretch of reef. To get to these walls takes about 5 minutes on the local boats. All the diving here tends to be drift diving which means the boat drivers will put you in the right place and then you just drift along the walls. There is a lot to see along the walls with many sea fans, sponges and fish life. The sites go down to around 35 - 40 metres which is a good depth to find things like sharks and the occasional Mola Mola.

DIVING Gili Tepekong and Mimpang

Another bali diving spot around Padang Bay and Candidasa is Gili Tepekong. Tepekong itself means Chinese Temple in Indonesia. This Bali diving spot is close to shore and located in southeast of Candidasa for exact. This Bali dive site is easy to reach but unfortunately just for the advanced one. The reason of its rule is because Gili Tepekong Bali diving has strong downward currents which can develop when the tide and surf are active.
Gili which in Balinese means little island mostly has a white sandy beach and blue water. Due to its size, Gili Tapekong Bali diving is often ignored. Usually Gili is used as vacation destination, especially for water sports activities. Gili Tepekong Bali dive spot has depths around 6-40 meters or 20-130feet. Mola mola sunfish is still the winner among the others attracting fishes in between August to September. Another invitation is coming from exhilarating drift dives and large marine life. Mola-mola, Golden jacks, huge batfish, groupers, blue lobsters are marine life which exist there. Close to the island, at about 12-30m downwards there is area called canyon which is marvelous too. The visibility in this Bali dive site is around 10-25meters. Gray reef sharks, white-tips nestle in caves and holes on the westerm edge of the island are another marine life which you should be watched out. But when it is turning calm, you can do a daytrip or Bali dive safari to Nusa Penida.

DIVING Menjangan Island

Diving in Menjangan Island is diving around small island part of the West Bali National Park. The reefs of northwest Bali are the most protected dive sites in Bali which provides good diving any time of the year. Divers arrive at Labuhan Lalang a modest small harbor, with a few simple restaurants. The trip to diving Menjangan Island takes 30 minutes to an hour depending on the site. There are many dive sites around the island, but the best area is a stretch along the southeast and from far northwest down into the channel.
On the south west of Menjangan is Pos I site. There is not much to say about this area as this site is usually used as a diving training area for beginners as it is a nice protected slope with a white sandy bottom.
On the west coast is Garden Eel. This site is located on Menjangan Strait, and compared to the other sites of the island, current here is more frequent. It is a slope, with white sandy bottom at around 20 meters deep, and home to a large number of garden eels. There are also white tip sharks, turtles, jackfish, lionfish, leaf scorpion fish and banner fish.
Kapal Budak site, northwest of the island, has an old wooden shipwreck, dated from the early 19’th century. Dive guides at Menjangan call it the Ankerat as the anchor lies in the shallows at about 6 meters. The encrusted chain leads you down the wall to 35 meters, where a second anchor and the wreck itself are. The deepest part of the wreck is home to whip corals, sponges and gorgonians. The reef wall is nicely rugged, with overhangs, shallow caves, shelves and cracks.
On the east coast of Menjangan is the Bat Cave site. Here you can dive down to 30 meters with a visibility up to 30 meters as well. The topography of the area is a stiff slope, rich of gorgonians and several types of corals. White tip reef sharks and turtles can be encountered in this area. There are also many species of fish like batfish, triggerfish, angelfish, butterfly fish, damselfish and anemone fish.
Going down to the south east of the island is Pos II site, which gets its name from the island National Park guardian house. This site is an extension to Bat Cave site, with a beautiful 35 meters wall, covered by sponges and sea fan. At 12 meters deep there is a large cave with a narrow entry (around 3 meters) that leads to a large chamber where there is a window, which lets the light go through.

DIVING Blue Lagoon

Padang Bai
To dive here we start descending from the buoy close to the ferry dock; the channel runs further east to the hook of Tanjung Silayukti. At the beginning of the dive the reef is not interesting, much more interesting around the hook of Tanjung Silayukti with scattered boulder rocks, bommies, colourful hard corals, soft corals, number of Crinoids and a variety of tropical reef fishes. Turtles are frequently seen on this steeply slope reef that runs to 30 meters deep, the current is sometimes unpredictable changing its strength and direction that pushes into deep water. Don’t let us sucked into blue water and always ascend safely from the shallow reef of Tanjung Silayukti so the boat skipper can easily provide the pick up service by the end of the diving. Water temperature is frequently fallen roughly 26 degrees C.

DIVING

Nusa Penida/Nusa Lembongan

Nusa penida Bali diving is next to Nusa lembongan. Nusa lembongan which is smaller than Nusa penida, is nearer to Bali Island. Both Bali dive locations are located about 20 kilometers from Bali south-east coast. At its best, Nusa Penida Bali diving offers sparkling clean water and very healthy corals. And since every dive is a drift, making the Bali dive safari experience in this Bali dive spot is even more challenging.
Between Nusa lembongan and Nusa penida, there is Nusa Ceningan. Experiencing a scuba diving safari around Nusa penida is very challenging. According to Balinese, this low island is a place with strange powers that are certainly worthy of respect. Mola mola, huge sharks, and healthy coral can be found in this Bali diving location as well as four knot currents and heavy swell. On the worst condition, the currents in Nusa Penida an send you roaring along so fast while you don’t have much time to appreciate these charms. And it can be very wild ride. The current sweeping in Penida turns a dive into a drift. Its marine life is consisting of many mysterious creatures as mysterious as the place itself. Lizardfish and stargazers are just a bit part of the treasure. Furthermore, Nusa penida scuba diving is not the most suitable site for photography.  However the quite clean water in this Bali diving spot is a satisfaction for videographers.
SD POINT :
Even if  there is no volcanic rock in SD Bali scuba diving site, the soil is weathered limestone. By a 45 minutes travel boat, SD Bali diving site is reached. The diving confitions usually a drift dive in this scuba dive spot. A dry and limestone plateau covering about 2 hundred square kilometers. Enjoy a Bali diving safari package  there with the professional crews of Atlantis International.
PED CRYSTAL BAY :
This Bali Scuba dive site is the Most famous of Nusa Penida because we can see our Local Mascot there, the famous Mola-Mola or Sunfish for 4 months of the year (at the end of July to the beginning of November). This bay is just situated has the end of the Channel between Penida and Ceningan where the current could be very hardly, everywhere and unpredictable. The Fauna and the Flora are there incredible and well protected. The site also reserves another surprise: a Cave under navy where accommodate at the top, on surface, a lot of bat. However the access is rather difficult (only when the tides are high and the conditions excellent). For divers confirmed.

A 30 minutes road by boat from Nusa penida, Crystal bay successfully mesmerizes worldwide scuba divers. At its best conditions, Crystal bay Bali diving is relatively protected and shallow. Located in west Nusa penida, this Bali dive site is allowed to be explored by professionals and beginners. This scuba diving safari site has cold water. DIVING

Manta Point
Level: Beginner to experienced
Dive Entry: Boat entry, simple roll back.
Water temperature: 19-28 depending on the time of year
Visibility: 5-8 meters
Conditions: Swell and surge
 Manta Point Marine Life:
Manta rays, cuttle fish, lion fish, trigger fish, sea moth, nudibranchs. We’ve also seen a nurse shark here and bizarrely, a very lost mola mola!
 Manta Point Details:
Manta Point attracts manta rays all year round, the waters are rich with plankton which attracts the magnificent bird of the seas for feeding; the site also acts as a cleaning station. Manta Point is rather bland so the only reasons to dive this site are the manta rays - but oh are they worth it! On some days you can see one manta, on another day you can see twenty! They are very friendly and enjoy the company of divers, often swooping in to investigate and shivering with excitement as the divers’ bubbles tickle their bellies.
 Manta Point Recommendations:
Try coming in low season as between the months of July through to the end of October you can expect up to 30 dive boats on this site.

DIVING Tulamben

Tulamben
Tulamben is a little village in the northeast coast of Bali, the beach is black sand covered by smooth, fist-size rocks. The remains of Gunung Agung exploding in 1963 has sent the lava flows along this coastal area. There is a bay here that invites divers to visit this village to explore under water scene. The bay was later known as Tulamben Bay amongst the divers. The excellent diving sites in this bay are Ship Wreck (USAT Liberty Cargo), Paradise Reef and Drop Off (actually rugged wall). These sites are the best beach entry scuba diving in all of Bali, further east about 15 minutes cruising in a small out rigger fishing boat, will bring you to other diving sites known as Alamanda Reef and Batu Kelebit. A car ride 10 minutes further west of Tulamben and you will be in Kubu village with its beach similar in condition to Tulamben Bay offers a diving on the pristine Kubu Reef.
Ship Wreck (USAT Liberty Cargo)
Just 30 meters from the beach at Tulamben is a World War II cargo ship broken up but still an impressively large wreck, stretching 120 meters long on a steeply sloping sandy bottom. The top of wreckage is just 3 meters below the water surface and the bottom is at 29 meters. January 11th, 1942, this ship was hit by torpedoes from a Japanese submarine while crossing the Lombok Strait carried rubber and railroad part on World War II service. The damage was critical, but two destroyers hitched up to the ship and tried to tow it to the port at Singaraja. The wounded cargo ship was taking too much water, however her crew ran the vessel up on the beach at Tulamben. The volcanic explosion of Gunung Agung in 1963 rolled Liberty off the beach to its present location, in the process breaking in pieces. The wreck is completely covered with variety of corals and hundreds of species of fish inhabit it, an Australian Rudie Kuiter, author of the definitive guide to Indonesian reef fishes, estimates that some 400 species of reef fishes live on the wreck, which is also visited by perhaps 100 species of pelagic. This is a remarkable number for an area just 120 meters long. On the slack tide is a good time to do night dive, remarkable flashlight fishes (Anomalops katoptron) in the black corals at the bow blink the like starslight in the sky. Visibility is average 15 to 20 meters and water temperature is roughly warm 28 to 29 degrees C.
Paradise Reef
The name of this reef has been taken from the hotel standing on the beach, Paradise Hotel. This shallow patch reef is delightful and richly covered more than 200 meters long and lies in 5 to 15 meters of water. This reef is dominated by Acropora, hard corals, some large table corals and Fire corals, there are also large Clownfish Anemones, Crinoids, Leather corals and bushes of Hydroids and supports diversity of fish population in this area, Parrotfish, Wrasse, Snappers and the rest of other marine fish, as well as rarities like Ribbon Eels, Frogfish and unusual Scorpionfish. Past the patch reef down the slope is a rubble sandy bottom at 20 to 35 meters, in a single Crinoids feather star is sometimes a pair of Ornate Ghost Pipefish found with many other unusual and weird critters, like Steene’s Dotty Backs (Pscudochromis Steene) bright orange face with spiky teeth and pushed lower jaw and variety of Nudibranchs. Photographers and divers who like macro sea life this is a favourite site to discover and experience unusual animals. For night dive this is a very convenient location due its position close to main resort at Tulamben.

The locals of Tulamben call this reef “Drop Off”, it is actually rugged wall reef stretching out seaward, and the reef wall descends down over 70 meters. Black corals, soft corals and hard corals grow well on the crannies and overhangs at around 18 meters, there live an abundance of Cleaner Shrimps and large fishes are waiting in overhangs to be cleaned. The hook of the wall at 28 meters where the reef extends to the sloping eastern reef stands a huge purple sea fan Gorgonian, over 2 meters wide this is a sticking land mark on the reef wall. A prolific variety of schooling fish swim around the corner of the wall, and even invertebrate animals are often encountered at this rugged wall reef. In the shallow crannies the reef is delightfully rich with a marine life. Flashlight Fish (Photoblepharon palpebratus) during night dives is a remarkable scene on bushy black corals at the overhang of the wall. The current normally runs north, as the beach entry we have to think to travel back with the ample air in the tank, the Divemaster or Instructor will assist with this problem. Water temperature is always warm roughly 28 to 29 degrees C underwater.
Pick up a small wooden local outrigger fishing boatuse it to cruise beyond the Drop Off, you will find a healthy Alam Anda Reef. The steep slope reef is dominated by dome hard corals, soft corals and variety of Gorgonians, below 20 to 30 meters is rich ridged reef with large number of sponges, Barrel sponges, variety of reef fishes, Pygmy Seahorse on purple sea fan is favourite macro critter amongst the experienced divers, sometime on a single sea fan you can find 5 to 10 Pygmies. Current mainly bring the diver toward the Drop Off, water
Is named after the local fishermen, literally the Kelebit Rocks, are two large underwater boulders lying just offshore, one of two pointed jagged crest of lava is always submerged, the other point is crusted by water used as a marker for the diving area. Sand channels between two reef ridges is covered by fire corals leading to the reef edges at 25 to 40 meters, which are rich and healthy reef is covered with an extremely diverse growth of hard corals, sponges, gorgonians and every other encrusting animal. The current runs towards the north, sometimes strong but mostly mild brings planktons that has accumulated at the reef edges, inviting larger pelagic animals to appear like White Tip Reef Sharks, schools of Jacks, Dogtooth Tuna and even Sunfish. Water clarity is always good and its temperature is a bit cooler compared to the rest of Tulamben Bay dive sites.
From Tulamben Bay cruising with a small wooden local outrigger fishing boat takes about 15 minutes to this site.
